The Ignition System:

Every time you turn the key in the ignition, you set in motion a highly orchestrated chain of events that results in a powerful explosion. To be effective, the explosion must occur with split second precision, leaving no room for error. In this section, we'll follow the route of the electrical current and see how each part in the ignition system contributes to makes it all happen. We'll also see why timing really is everything.

If your automobile is a little older, it may have a traditional ignition system and rely on a classic distributor. Newer vehicles are increasingly dependent upon distributor less systems. In this section we take an up close and personal look at both systems and as usual let you GO interactive and handle the parts without getting your hands greasy!
